Anemia is a disease that often occurs in adolescent girls. This phenomenon usually occurs in those who have menstrual cycles. If anemia is left untreated, it will have a significant impact on health and socio-economic burdens in all age groups and is a global public health problem. According to WHO, anemia is characterized by hemoglobin (Hb) levels of less than 12.0 g/dl in adolescent girls. The status of anemia in adolescent girls is believed to be influenced by several factors, especially factors related to compliance in taking Fe tablets. Various literatures state that there is a relationship between the level of compliance in taking Fe tablets and the incidence of anemia. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of compliance in taking Fe tablets and the incidence of anemia in female students of MA (Islamic Senior High School) Jamilurrahman Bantul in 2024. This research is an observational analytical survey with a cross-sectional time approach. The sampling used a total sampling technique totaling 66 respondents who met the inclusion-exclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to respondents and Hb level examination. The univariate and bivariate analysis used the Chi-Square analysis. The results of the study showed that 77.3% of respondents were compliant in consuming Fe tablets and 81.2% of respondents had high hemoglobin levels (≥12 g/dl), indicating a significant relationship between the level of compliance in taking Fe tablets and the incidence of anemia. A p-value of 0.000 and OR value of 137.5 stated that respondents who were not compliant in taking Fe tablets had a 137,5 times greater risk of experiencing anemia and a correlation coefficient of 0.614 indicated a strong relationship between the level of compliance in taking Fe tablets and the incidence of anemia.
