Abstract

The thesis writing background is the lack of interest of students in Indonesian language subjects, especially speech text material. In addition, writing is an important thing that is mastered by students in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using the Team Assisted Individually learning model and poster media on the ability of students specifically in speech text material. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA and XI IPS SMA Fatahillah. Both classes were classified into experimental and control classes. This research uses the Experimental Design method and the Posttest-Only Control Group Design technique. The result obtained based on this research is that there is a significant influence in the application of the Team Assisted Individually model and poster media in learning speech text. This is supported by the achievement of scores obtained by experimental class students superior to the control class. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, decision making is based on if Fcount≤Ftable then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, while if Fcount > Ftable then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this, there is an effect of Team Assisted Individually learning model on the ability to write speech text assisted by poster media. This research is expected to be a reference related to some policies and further research activities.
