Perbedaan pengaruh latihan aktif dengan dosis konstan ke kontinyu dan dosis progresif interval pada kekuatan otot Quadriceps

Latar Belakang: Gaya hidup sedentari pada pemuda mengakibatkan penurunan kekuatan otot ekstermitas bawah, khususnya otot quadriceps yang krusial untuk aktivitas fungsional. Latihan aktif seperti squat merupakan metode efektif untuk meningkatkan kekuatan, namun terdapat perbedaan respons terhadap variasi dosis Latiahan. Dosis konstan ke kontinyu adalah metode pemberian latihan dengan intensitas, repetisi, dan jumlah set yang tetap sama dari awal hingga akhir program latihan. Sedangkan Dosis Progresif Interval adalah metode latihan dengan peningkatan bertahap pada repetisi, set, durasi, atau intensitas dalam interval waktu tertentu. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh antara latihan aktif dengan dosis konstan ke kontinyu dan dosis progresif interval terhadap kekuatan otot quadriceps. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Two-group pre-test post-test design. Sampel berjumlah 30 mahasiswa (usia 15–24 tahun) yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok (n=15). Kelompok 1 diberikan dosis konstan ke kontinyu (intensitas tetap 50% 1-RM), sedangkan Kelompok 2 diberikan dosis progresif interval (intensitas meningkat 50% hingga 80% 1-RM) selama 15 hari. Instrumen pengukuran menggunakan midline dan vertical jump. Hasil: Kedua kelompok menunjukkan peningkatan kekuatan yang signifikan (p=0,000). Namun, terdapat perbedaan efektivitas yang signifikan antara kedua metode (p=0,010), di mana kelompok progresif interval menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata yang lebih tinggi (5,32) dibandingkan kelompok konstan (2,53). Kesimpulan: Latihan aktif dengan dosis progresif interval lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot quadriceps pada pemuda dibandingkan dosis konstan ke kontinyu.
